hawkinsmp
I redid two pictures and i tried to do "save as" and it told me that the file was not found. Of course the file wasn't found i renamed the original. Matter of fact it won't let me save the original. What do i need to do to fix this. And it won't let me choose what type of file i want ie j[eg bmp only one option.
walt.farrell
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. Save and Save As are primarily used for saving in Photo's native format, .afphoto. Usually if you want to save another type of file, such as JPEG or TIFF or PNG you will use File > Export instead. There is one exception: if you edit a JPEG or TIFF or PNG file and do a File > Save (Ctrl+S) you are allowed to overwrite your original, as long as you have not added any layers. But this only works for Save, not for Save As. If you want to change the name, you need to use File > Export.
