Exporting multiple layers

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have an iPad Pro 64 mg of which I have used 24.9 mg. when I try to export an image of more than about 10 layers, I get the hamster wheel and it won’t export. I don’t necessarily want to flatten every image and would like to keep a record of how I achieved an end result, or save as a PSD file and work on it further in another programme (sorry!). Is it a memory problem or a glitch in my version of Affinity. I love the iPad version, but this is beginning to annoy me!

An example attached below. This would have had more work done on it, but it won’t export even at this stage.

Thanks, in anticipation.

Jo Naylor

Can you post your afphoto file to the forum for the Dev’s/Others to take a look at what might be going wrong?

Hi Jo Naylor,

Welcome to the forums :)

If you can provide the file as Paul suggested I should be able to look into this further for you.

Thanks

Callum

Sorry guys, bit of a thicko, what do you mean by the ‘file’? The above is a screen shot of the workflow, don’t know how to send the file. This was just an example, but is has happened on several images I’ve tried to process. If you can tell me what I need to do to send you the information, that would be great, sorry I’m pretty new to this.

@Jo Naylor Hi jo, in the Home screen, tap the document hamburger menu and tap Save. This creates a .afphoto file in the default storage location (Photo folder on iCloud or. iPad). When you post here just click the 'click to choose files', browse to the Photo folder and tap the afphoto file. Lovely composition by the way. :)

if over 25mb  Callum will need to supply a Dropbox link for you to use. Just type @ symbol followed immediately by Callum @Callum to get his attention.

@Callum sorry, the file will not load. Error symbol -200. I have managed to get it into my Dropbox though if that helps. Thanks, Jo.

Please could you send me a link to the file on DropBox?
