I am using the newly released Publisher and switching from InDesign 5. I want to be able to see certain text elements as I work but hide them when printing. A specific case is where I set up a single A4 sized layout to hold 4 pages of a book (making a section when cut after printing). There are four page numbers on each sheet and these are needed to be visible to me while type setting (for ordering the text blocks). However I need to be able to set these to be invisible when printing.

This was possible in InDesign, where I also used the feature to write myself notes about imprint, fonts used and page collation after cutting... but I can't find this in Affinity Publisher. Although I can set a layer to be invisible, it means I can't see it to work with. I hope this makes sense. Have I missed something or is this not possible?

Hi Anjux3,

Welcome to the forums :)

As far as I'm aware the only way to do this would be to hide them manually before printing.

Thanks
