No sharpening after leaving Develop persona

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

i've opened an Raw-File (cr2) in Affinity Photo Ver. 1.7. It is shown in Develop Persona. I change the sharpness in Detail-Panel. I switch on Develop to return to Photo Persona - all the sharpness is lost. I tried to change the 16bit into 8bit, opened the photo in Develop persona, changed the sharpness and got back to Photo Persona - it seems, a little sharpness is saved...

Any idea??

All the best

Frank

PS: Pardon my bad english :-)

Hi there, maybe my mistake: I do some sharpening in Develop persona, click on Develop but can't see any sharpening results in Photo Persona. After exporting the file and re-open it in Affinity, i can see differences in sharpness.

I have attached one picture, made by my tour through Newfoundland.

Greetings to Belgium from Germany :-)

HI @FrankTr,

For me the sharpness in Photo Persona is identical to what I see in Develop Persona (16bit).
Maybe you're looking at a different "View > Zoom" factor

Hi Hubert,

many thanks - it really looks like, i have different zoom-factors. I never had such problems, too - but after installing 1.7 i saw no sharpness after moving back to Photo Persona.

Ah Flandern: i sometimes go there, to take pictures. I stayed in Maasmechelen some weeks ago. Very nice location!!

All the best

Frank
