Jim Monson Posted June 22, 2019 Share Posted June 22, 2019 Working in InDesign for many years I am acquainted with Sections, Page Numbering, etc. I have worked in AffPub since the beta appeared and now in 1.7.1. What I have always wanted is a way to see my various Sections in the Layers panel so that I could easily go to a section and have the pages of that section appear under the section title. Is this possible? I do not see this in the Section Manager panel where I create and edit my various sections, nor have I found it related to my master pages panel, nor do I see it in the Navigator panel which appears to only change the current page. If possible combining Sections and Pages would allow easy navigation within a large document with numerous sections. Perhaps I am missing something, but as yet I have not found this possibility. Old Bruce Posted June 23, 2019 Share Posted June 23, 2019 If you want to see the name of the section on the pages use Fields and Section Name in a Master Page. You have to Name your Sections, the Section-1 doesn't show up. I somehow think this is not what you are after. Although if you place them off the Page/Spread then they will show up in the layers panel as you scroll through the document (If you expand the Master Page Layer) but then you will get warnings about overset text when exporting. 47 minutes ago, Jim Monson said: Perhaps I am missing something, No, the sections section of Publisher is quite primitive and limited. I have headers with section name and auto-page numbers but then added the section at the top of each individual page with its place in the section. Crude but it works. Had not thought of that. I just want to be able to somehow go to section 4 or 3 or 7 with a double click in the sections dialog.
