thomaso
Occasionally I run into text to copy/paste from a PDF which generates lots of § symbols after every character. Usually I do see § in AfPub only once per frame, like end of frame or text. I can't recognize what sort of PDF result this way. The sample file below is an export from InDesign, but not all its pdfs create this issue. After deleting all text the § remain, kind of endless and with no overflow indicator at the frame. Also I wonder if there is a way in AfPub to remove those § via Find-and-Replace? I can't find it in the list for special characters and also " \§ " doesn't work in the search field. Hangman
Hi thomaso, What is slightly strange is that if you open the pdf file in Apple Preview rather than Adobe Acrobat and copy/paste the text into a text box in APub, then it pastes correctly! Staff Pauls Posted June 22, 2019 Staff Share Posted June 22, 2019 the symbols should disappear if you have Text, Show Special Characters menu item disabled. As @Hangman suggest using a different viewer or even loading the PDF into publisher may give you better results
