Fonts remplacement

Recommended Posts

Hi,

for missing font we have a option to replace this with the font manger but the change remains only effective in the visualization, not in the text layer and if we open the file on AD for example the font replacement is not effective :

In Publisher :

Opening file in AD :

Yes, that is in purpose.

In a document with a missing font the application temporarily uses another font to make the text visible to you at first. This temporary font style can also get customized in the Font Manager but is not saved with the file to ensure that the original text formatting is still displayed on a computer that has the original font installed.

To permanently replace a font, you need to use the font menu marked with the red rectangle in your screenshot or change an assigned style in the Text style panel. If you change the font in this way and save the file, the original font information is lost and is overwritten by the font information of the newly selected font.

Unfortunately there is no interface yet to permanently replace a font for a complete document by a font name only. Therefore you still have to select either text styles or objects and assign the new font that way step by step.

How about Find/Replace?

Click the Find cog and choose Format, then in the Format menu choose a font family:

Then do something similar with the Replace field.

Hit Find, then Replace All.

Yes, but to me it doesn't work for Missing Fonts ...:

Yes, I saw your other topic after I posted. It would be nice if they got that fixed.

I took 3 hours to used Affinity Publisher with the Font manager and the locate button to change all my font in my Designer file (with many layers..)

I'should implement a "Replace all" button in the font manager (with a popup validation). That would be a very nice feature.
