Paul Furness Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 I have installed all three affinity products (Photo, Designer and Publisher), Photo and Publisher are linked to the same account. Somehow I have purchased Designer under a different account so it will not link to the Affinity StudioLink, how do I find the account that it is linked to? Kindest regards Paul Quote
Staff Lee D Posted June 21, 2019 Staff Posted June 21, 2019 If you're unable to access StudioLink in Affinity Publisher, make sure you have installed the 1.7.1 updates for both Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer. Open each app and confirm on the loading screen or Help > About. After you have installed the 1.7.1 updates you will also need to run the apps at least once before reopening (make a note of the times) Affinity Publisher to access the StudioLink feature. If StudioLink still doesn't work, please try the following: If you're using Windows go to%ProgramData%\Affinity\Common\1.0\appinfo\Release and delete the Photo Release.appinfo and Designer Release.appinfo files. Once deleted, re-run both Designer and Photo and try StudioLink again. If StudioLink still fails, browse to the above location again, and check the date modified. These should show that date and time the app was last opened as these files should get overwritten every time the app is opened. If you're using macOS, make sure that all Affinity apps ( Publisher, Photo & Designer ) are in the root of the Applications folder. Quote
calligraffiti Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 I'm having the same issue not being able to access StudioLink on a Mac. I have Designer 1.6.1 and Photo 1.6.7, but the Apple Store isn't offering any updates yet. Are you sure 1.7.1 updates for Designer and Photo are available? Quote
Old Bruce Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 Yes, try signing out and back in if the reload doesn't work Store > Reload Page Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Adreamteller Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Reviving topic. I have done everything described here. Just updated to the latest version of Affinity 2 and Publisher stopped recognizing Designer and Photo. Already opened Designer and Photo, both software are on Root. Just need to access the Personas! If the solution is reinstalling x4 times in a row, I am done and moving to another suite. Quote

But yes all 3 applications are on the same Applications folder on Mac, however the issue keeps appearing. Its new because prior the update I was happily using the personas on Publisher Reviving topic. I have done everything described here. But what about Publisher? Is it properly installed in the Applications folder, too? Is it the exact same release level as Photo and Designer? Can you show us a screenshot of the Applications folder, and of the Help > About dialog (or maybe, on Mac, it's <application name> > About? I'm not near a Mac to check right now.) for all 3 applications?
