mark_r Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Hi, I bought Designer & Photo from the Apple Store quite a while ago, both are installed and were recently updated to 1.7.1. I just bought Publisher from you directly, also version 1.7.1. When I click on either of the app links I get a Studio Link dialog box saying Designer & Photo are not installed (they are both running fine), and it asks me if I want to purchase them. Help! Quote
R C-R Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Make sure all 3 apps are in the root level Applications folder, not in any subfolders there or on any drives or partitions other than the startup disk. mark_r Posted June 22, 2019 Author Posted June 22, 2019 Being in the root Application folder did the trick, Thanks. If it is not problematic, being able to put apps in folders below the main Application folder is helpful for me. Quote

Since it is too often problematic, what I do is create a folder & some subfolders in it somewhere & fill the subfolders with aliases to the apps. What I like most about this is the folders & aliases can have any names I want. Adding either the parent folder or its individual subfolders to the Dock give me quick access to the apps, without having to open any Finder windows. I have a similar setup, I filled a folder full of aliases to the various Graphics apps and folders with my working files in them and stuck that folder on my dock. Very handy and if you have the system shortcuts for revealing the dock set up you can just use the keyboard. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
