Line Styles

Will the very limited line styles be expanded or will there be downloadable line style assets to buy? I need the double-line line style you have in PagePlus. Otherwise congrats on a magnificent job with Publisher.

Hi,

If you have Designer and you go into that persona in Publisher you can add multiple lines and fills with the new Appearance panel:

I mean like in the example below... there is a much greater range of line styles in PagePlus, perhaps they'll come to Publisher in add-ons or updates, obviously a range of line styles is basic to a dtp program

Then you would just add a white stroke to get the double black line, sorry, better example:

The appearance panel gives pretty much unlimited possibilities for line styles, if you need to have a transparent inner then all you need to do is change the blend mode of the inner stroke to erase

OK, got it... thanks for everyone's help... it is obviously a more flexible approach, little more fiddly to set-up but worth it for the complete control over the thickness of the lines. Wonderful! I must learn how to use these Affinity tools properly... Thank you all.

Glad we could help, you can also save any of your line styles as a "Style" to reuse. Go to the styles panel, if you don't see it go to View>Studio>Styles, click the 3 lines in the top right, add new category, rename it, then with your line selected you can add new style.

So far, the only thing I find mildly disappointing about the Appearance panel is it does not support adding multiple fills or strokes to text objects. Perhaps they can add that in some future update....

OMG, it works, really easy to create and save a whole menagerie of line styles, fantastic thank you Murfee
