Hi, just want to know how do I link my previous approved layout to multiple layouts? I am doing tickets for a game and I need to change the seat numbers but has to have 1 master layout so I can easily edit it for the next game.

Hi John Uy,

Welcome to the forums :)

Are you looking to make a 'template' document? You can save document presets in Publisher but unfortunately we don't have a template editor. You could create a copy of your .afpub file and use this as a template, loading it and editing it, then saving it as a new file each time so your original template remains untouched. I hope this helps!

I usually do was do the master layout with illustrator and save it as PDF compatible illustrator file. Place the Illustrator file with in an illustrator file to create multiple copies with different numbers. Now if the client wants me to edit the layout, I only edit the master and all the links with in the signature will be updated. Can the publisher do that? Can i place a designer file with in the publisher's artboard? Thanks for your reply.

You certainly can, if you Link the file rather than embed it, you can continue to edit this file separately and then update the linked file in Publisher to refresh the placed file.

If you're looking for objects that are linked if you only change one of them, then you should check out symbols in the following tutorial!
