Huthi
I use Indesign in combination with Mathtype for creating math documents. I want to do this with Publisher and bought it today for Mac and Windows. On both systems I experience huge problems: If I import a EPS or PDF file, created with Mathtype, the formula is not displayed correctly. At the moment, I am sitting on my Windows machine and I have trouble: WMF Import on Windows seems ok. But I can´t import some wmf files. Attached you find the files 2.wmf and 3.wmf. It is impossible for me to import 2.wmf. The File 3.wmf works without problems. I think the best solution will be that you write an own math-formular-editor. I can wait till tomorrow Thank you for your great work!! 2.wmf 3.wmf
Staff Jon P Posted June 28, 2019 Staff Share Posted June 28, 2019 Hi Huthi, Welcome to the forums! Quote I think the best solution will be that you write an own math-formular-editor You aren't the first person to suggest this, there is a feature requests part to this forum and this is worth adding there! Regarding the WMF, I can reproduce what you describe, it seems to silently fail on that WMF. I can't see anything obvious as to why, but I've logged it for the developers to look into Thanks for reporting this Quote Serif Europe Ltd. - www.serif.com

That means: I create an formula in Mathtype and export it as WMF. Import in Publisher works. But when I type text in Mathtype and export it as WMF the import in Publisher fails. Maybe that helps.
