Tom1940 Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 How do I change the setting so I get a single space after pressing the <enter> key? Quote
Old Bruce Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 Do you mean the line height? Set it up in a Paragraph Style. Under spacing, and that is for which program? Tom1940 Posted June 20, 2019 Author Posted June 20, 2019 Hi Bruce This is for Affinity Publisher. What I wanted is to set the default such that when I'm typing and just want to go to the next line I can press the enter key. The way it's set up now I get a double space when I press the enter key. Thanks for the reply. Tom Quote
Old Bruce Posted June 20, 2019 Posted June 20, 2019 When you hit the enter key you make a new paragraph. If you don't want the double line you can make a Paragraph Style or you can use the Shift + Return/enter key to get what we call a line return. Or, And this is probably best, Go to the View > Studio > Paragraph and set it up so the hightlighted item is set to 0 (zero). That will get rid of the extra space after you hit enter. Vormgevertje Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 I know this helps. But I do not want to create a paragraph when using enter. I would like to create another paragraph when using shift-enter. And use the enter key to simply go to the next line. So is there a way to exchange the use of enter and shift-enter? Quote
