chrisroiu
I downloaded the latest version of all Affinity apps but Windows Defender won't let me install any of them. Previously, I could update them without any problems. It happens with all 3.

chrisroiu
Hey thanks for the reply. If I click Run Anyway or even if I right-click on the file and "Run as admin", it tells me that this app can't run on my PC. As I said this just happened with the latest version of the apps. So far I had no problem updating them. I need to make a document in Publisher and now I can't even open it because the beta period expired Edit: I tried to uninstall the beta and install it again but same message. - S -
In your original screenshot there was a problem with the digital signature. It was showing "Publisher: Unknown Publisher". It should say "Verified Publisher: Serif (Europe) Ltd". Try re-downloading the Affinity Photo installer file from the Serif website link below and see if you still have the same issue:https://store.serif.com/en-gb/update/windows/photo/1/ Alfred and stokerg
chrisroiu
I tried that link and it's the same message. It acts like it's not signed. I always downloaded them from inside my Affinity account. Will try on install them on my laptop to see if it's the same error. Edit: tried on my laptop, same error. I am on the Windows 10 May update if that makes a difference. Version: 1903, OS Build: 18362.175 Edited June 21, 2019 by chrisroiu
- S -
Right-click the Affinity Photo installer file (affinity-photo-1.7.1.404.exe) and go to 'Properties'. Then follow the below steps: Then post a screenshot of the two below tabs:
chrisroiu
There is no digital signature for that file. As a test, I tried to download the previous version, 1.7.0 and that one has a digital signature.
chrisroiu
Hmm strange, I downloaded them again and now all work... Maybe Affinity updated the files because I've been trying the same process for 2 days now and it didn't work until now. I've done some more testing and it seems that it's my browser. I use Vivaldi as my main browser and sometimes Edge Chromium. Whenever I download using those 2, the files don't have the digital signature. I tried with both browsers in incognito mode without any extensions and it's without signature. With Firefox or the normal Edge it downloads them normally.....strange.
