For now it seems to be a Publisher-only feature. I presume you know about File > Edit in Photo (AD) and File > Edit in Designer (AP) which allow you to easily switch between the applications, though not as seemlessly as StudioLink allows for Publisher.

Alternatively, why not start in Publisher. You can open your .afdesign files there and freely switch betwen the Photo and Designer Personas. You can even create a new document with Artboards if you use File > New while in the Designer Persona.

Of course, if you need to use the Export Persona you would eventually need to open your document in the Designer application.

True, but its seems like a bit of hack for a small (but veeeery nice) feature. Hope they add it in a future update. At least an obvious thing to add between AD and AP now they have it running in Publisher
