Does any body know how to avoid Page Number on the first side

Recommended Posts

I come from Indesign. In Indesign I have my Page Counter on the master side. In AP it is the same.

For the first and the last page I do not need page numbers.

So I go to side 1, press ctrl + shift and select the pagenumber and finally I delete the "repeated" page number from page 1.

I did the same with the last page and I am fine.

How do I select elements from the masterpage? I think in Publisher there must also a way?!

Kind regards!

Open the Layers studio and right click on the Master Page and choose Edit Detached. Then you can turn off the page number by clicking on the view checkbox, or you can delete that if you wish to do so. I just turn them off.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Alternatively, you could use a different Master Page for your first and last pages, without the page number.

Or, you could have two Master Pages. One would have all the content except the page number. The other would have the page number. Apply the first to all pages, and the second to all pages but the first and last.

Ja Hallo und vielen vielen Dank. Da muss man erst mal drauf kommen! Es funktioniert definitiv ganz anders als in Design. Jetzt weiß ich wie man gleich artig Verfahren kann und zum Ziel kommt. Herzlichen Dank.

It's very easy. In the pages thumbnail panel, hover over the page from which you want to remove the number (presumably done on a master page) and click control. Then you will see some options including delete master from that page.

Es sieht so aus als gäbe es mehr als einen Weg.  Vielen vielen Dank.
