Depth of Field gives white lines

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I stumbled upon some odd behavior while testing out the photo persona functions in Publisher.
I tried this in an old, aswell as in a new document, same result.

- you have a picture in your publisher document
- you go to the photo persona
- you select the picture and apply a 'Depth of Field' Live filter
- when playing with the radius, you get white lines over your image, actually they are spread upon the rest of your page too.

I noticed that this happens everytime, except when I first apply an "Elliptical" filter. After that, there is no problem doing a "Tilt Shift".
Doing the "Tilt Shift" first, I have the same problem.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

Hi,

Looks like the same issue I'm having with the Gaussian blur which I posted about, looks like it might be an issue with the live layers. Although not perfect solution I managed to sort it out by moving the Live effect layer above the picture frame.

Here's my original post:

Cheers

Thanks for the replies. It's indeed the same issue, the lines get thicker if you increase the radius.

Another problem for correcting (debugging) this, is that is doesn't always happen.

I tried multiple times to recreate this bug, sometimes with a slightly other procedure or a different background behind the image and text.

Sometimes it showed up, other times it didn't. So, in my experience, this bug isn't constant. You have a 50% chance it will occur... :/
