[Fixed] Compound objects not scaling when resized

Recommended Posts

I'm having an issue with compound objects and I use this feature a lot.  It's easy to replicate.

Create a document 7" x 10" (size is immaterial)

Create a rounded rectangle to fill the document size and give it an absolute corner radius of .5 inches

Create another rounded rectangle inside the first one with an absolute corner radius of .35 inches.

Compound the shapes and use the subtract operation

Change the document size to 10" x 14" and make sure that you rescale your objects.

zoom in to a corner and select the rectangles in your layers panel.

As you can see, the corner shows that it was rescaled but the display does not reflect this.  Also, if you export the image, it gets exported incorrectly as well.

If you deselect the compound from the layer panel and then re-select it, the corner gets corrected.

This is a problem for me because I have to deselect my compound shapes and turn them back on every time that I resize an image.

Can anyone else confirm this?  I have tested it on my 2008 15"MacBook Pro as well as my 2015 13" MBP with Force Touch trackpad.  It has the same issue on both systems.

MEB,  I know that the team has been busy getting the Photo software ready but do you have any idea as to when they might start looking at these bugs again?  I have a sign business and I really would like to see this bug get squashed.

@MEB,

I appreciate the feedback.  I'm just really thankful for these forums so much because it really reaffirms my decision to use Affinity products and ditch AI.  I know things will get fixed in time.  Your team will have another successful product when Photo ships!
