A couple of quick questions: I imported an MS Word10 pdf file with over 130 pages with "minor" problems.

a. Numerous words are missing space bands.

b. Upon editing the above text, the justification on the line blows out the right margins.

c. It seems that any hyphened words get "spelling error" underscore.

Q1: Are there any "quick solutions" for the above a-c items, since this is a novel that I'm trying to reformat so that it looks nicer. (These errors are extensive.)

Otherwise, the conversion is on the money! Great presentation on Publisher today!

Q2: Is Publisher able to import raw MS Word10 .docx  files? Or is that on the "wish list?"

Hi pcjuice and Welcome to the Forums,

For Q1, i'm not aware of a quick way to do this

Q2, yes you can :) Place a text frame on the page and then click File>Place and you'll be able to select to the Docx file.  I suspect this will import better than the PDF did.

If you could provide a sample from the PDF, either one page or the whole document, i'll be happy to see what we can do to improve that import :)

Hi, stokerg:

Before I start, let me say excellent software release. Longtime Serif user (i.e., free 51/4 floppy days), your company has come a long way pilgrim.

Q2: DAH! EZ.

We all need a line item on our billing forms Translating PDF: $X per hour. If possible work with *.txt files.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
