The Place command makes the buttons stay out of sight

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have a recurrent problem in Affinity Designer 1.7.1 when using the command PLACE under the FILE menu. The new window is taller than the screen and both buttons stay out of the sight. I can use ESC or RETURN keys on keyboard, but in both cases the whole Affinity Designer window is deslocated 16mm below and needs to be moved back to its original position.

Hi Gil Carlos Volpato,

Could you go to fullscreen with the app using the green button in the top left. When inside that if you display the File > Place dialog you should be able to access the bottom to resize it. That should allow you to get it back to a reasonable size.

I was able to reproduce this only by going full screen in the app and resizing that dialog to touch the bottom of the screen. Once outside of fullscreen it then exhibited the behaviour you are seeing. I'll get this passed on to development!
