For me, the following suggestion made in another thread solved the problem:

I'm not sure how to reference other threads so here is the text:

"C:\ProgramData\Affinity\Common\1.0\appinfo\Release delete the .appinfo files there and redo the open and close of the newly installed Photo & Designer apps. "

Hi Rubyjim,

If the reply from @RobW42 hasn't got the studio link working.

Can you make sure Affinity Photo is open, then go to Publisher and the studio link for Photo again and it should be picked up this time.

Once the link has been setup, there should be no need to open Photo for this work
