In AD for WIndows 1.7.1.404. Using the export profile.  I have a file that contains many icons, each separated by empty space and marked as a slice. When I choose one slice and export as SVG (using any profile), the exported SVG contains the icon I selected but also another icon from the file.  For example, if I choose 1 particular slice, the exported SVG contains the icon that's 1 down and 1 left from it in my icon grid.  Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Hi PJackson,

Welcome to the forums :)

Could you please provide a copy of your .afdesign file to the following link so we can investigate this for you?

I have uploaded to dropbox as requested.  Try the 4th icon on the top row which has an export slice called "group".  When I export this as SVG, the file also contains the cross icon below left of the group icon.  The extra icon is not visible in all svg viewers/editors because they respect the view box, but if I open it in (for example) inkscape it is visible.  BTW: I came across this problem when trying to import the svg file into an online icon font builder.

My sincerest apologies for the delayed response, I could not at first figure out why your SVG export was including other objects, so I passed your file through to our QA team and we've since figured out what is causing this issue.

The bounding box on the 'X' shape is much larger than the shape itself as it has been rotated, in fact it intersects with the surrounding icons export slices, which mean the SVG slice export includes this shape, but off canvas.

If you select the X you'll see it's bounding box, to resize this to the actual shape rather than the original rotated shape, simply draw a quick rectangle around it and use the 'Intersect' function in the top right. You should now be able to export your slices without other objects being included. I've created a quick screen recording showing this below, many thanks!
