johfender
Good morning, I have tried to install the new version of Affinity Photo (1.7.1.). Unfortunately, the only option / button I get is "Update" (see screenshot) although I cannot find any Affinity Photo software, version, etc on the computer. As soon as I click "Update", another window pops up, saying that there is an "Invalid Path". I cannot install the programm. I have changed a hard disk about a year ago due to technical issues but have uninstalled all old software. How can I do a new, fresh, clean installation? Thanks in advance for any advices!!! Staff DWright Posted June 20, 2019 Staff Share Posted June 20, 2019 Can you please download the Microsoft's Uninstall Troubleshooter app and use it to remove any leftover Affinity Photo files and then run the 1.7.1 installer again.

Alfred
The error message would be much more helpful if it reported the name of the path that the installer is trying to use, but the most common reason for this kind of problem seems to be the inclusion of spaces or non-Latin characters in the file name or folder path. But as @Alfred suggested, having the path name would be useful. So, before running that tool: Press and hold the Windows key, then press R In the Run box that pops up, enter %temp%\AffinitySetup Press OK In the File Explorer, open the newest directory, where you should find SetupUI.log and Setup.log Open each in Notepad or other text editor, and search for the word Error. What is the full error message? Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. What release of Windows are you running, and what browser are you using? Have you tried a different browser to do the download? When you say "it won't let me download it" what happens, exactly, when you try?
