Switch tabs should be the same in Photo as Designer

Recommended Posts

On Windows the shortcuts are different, but both Photo and Desiger have them.

` (the character under ~) is Next View. There is no shortcut for Previous View; you can only work forward.

Ctrl + Tab is Next Window.

Ctrl + Shift + Tab is Previous Window.

It does seem that both Photo and Designer on Mac should have the same shortcuts. I also wonder why they're different from the shortcuts on Windows.

Command + Tilde is used to switch to the next tab on the right, and in Designer, Command + Shift + Tilde goes to the left.

Please add this to Photo to use the same shortcut.

On my Mac it appears to be in the order of which file was first open, then next and on and on. This is in Publisher Beta, Photo 1.7.1 and Designer 1.7.1. Not left to right nor by file name. Command + Tilde goes one way and Command + Shift + Tilde goes the other.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Hmm, just checked again... CMD + SHIFT + Tilde is not working in Photo (latest MAS version).

Is this a bug?

Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts > Miscellaneous  called Switch to Next View and Switch to Previous View (it is the little accent under the tilde which is showing).

Hey guys, new user here running 1.10.4.   I find that when I'm needing to cycle through tabs, (multiple images that I've brought in using the Open function) that Command + Tilde goes right and Command + Shift + Tilde goes left.  (As was mentioned here already).

However, I'd like to reassign it to something like the arrow keys.  The odd thing is that when I head into Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts > Miscellaneous where the "Switch to Next View" is located, the factory shortcut already in place is Command + Apostrophe.   When I try that particular shortcut, it does not cycle but instead creates a grid over my image?  (Odd that a grid function is within "Switch to Next View").

Obviously, Command + Tilde cannot be simultaneously used with different shortcut.  So, what is the name of the shortcut for cycling through the tabs, as "Switch to Next View" isn't it?  I've tried locating where Command + Tilde is being used within all the shortcut menus but I can't find it.  Perhaps I passed it by... but I don't see it.  Thanks in advance!
