Hangman
Not sure if this is intended behaviour or a general bug but every time a new version of AD or AP are installed (or auto-downloaded), e.g. 1.7.0 to 1.7.1, the context toolbars are reset to default settings which means having to re-customize each and every time which seems a bit of a pain, not the end of the world but just wondering why the customised context toolbars can't be maintained as part of any updates? Also curious as to why AD has both 'Align' and 'Distribute' options available as a group of icons which can be dragged to the toolbar whereas these are only available as individual icons in AP? Staff Sean P Posted July 9, 2019 Staff Share Posted July 9, 2019 Hi Hangman, are you referring to the Toolbar that contains the personas etc? If so this had to be purposely reset going from 1.7.0 to 1.7.1 as there was an issue with incorrect tools appearing when going from 1.6.1 to 1.7.0. As for the Align and Distribute options I'm not entirely sure but I will report it to development.
Hangman
Hi Sean, Okay, thanks for the explanation, hopefully, that means moving forward customised toolbars will remain in place when updating to newer versions. I was more just curious about the Align and Distribute options mainly as a result of having to drag each individually to the toolbar in APhoto when updating versions. Both AD and APub have these available as groups along with Geometry, Transform and Arrange groups, AP only has the Align and Distribute icons available as individual icons rather than groups. No biggy and likely not an issue if the toolbars remain customised when updating versions moving forward.
