CambsCreative Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Can anybody tell me how I can view blown highlights in the Photo Persona? I know there's one in Develop Persona, but I need it in Photo Persona for adjusting 'levels' in there. Quote
HVDB Photography Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 AFAIK, this is not available in Photo Persona .. But, if it's a JPEG file, you can't get anything from blown out regions. These areas appear as pure white in the image. If you use Levels, they will only become grayish Quote Affinity Photo 2.3.1 Laptop MSI Prestige PS42 Windows 11 Home 23H2 (Build 22631.3007) - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8565U CPU @ 1.80GHz 2.00 GHz - RAM 16,0 GB

Hi CambsCreative, when you open a levels adjustment layer if you hold the option key on a Mac (or I think its alt key on windows) while you adjust the sliders you get to see where any blown areas are in either your highlights when adjusting the white level or shadows when adjusting the black level, HVDB Photography 1 Quote

Donn Corcoran Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 I have a problem with blown highlights in the attached RAW file, taken with a Panasonic FZ80. The highlights are not blown in the jpeg version and are not blown when the RAW file is opened in Windows Photos. However, when opened in the Develop Persona there are several areas of blown highlights and only the most extreme measures (exposure minus 5, shadows +100% and highlights -100% provide anywhere near a satisfactory outcome. Highlights are not blown out when file opened in RawTherapee. Any ideas? P1000349.RW2 Quote
