NewYearsEve
I have affinity designer 1.7 crashing upon launch. I've looked at past threads and tried clearing preferences and replacing the vector_brushes.propcol. I would appreciate any help to figure out what the issue is whether it's a vector brush or some other issue! I've attached the crash report and also uploaded my "com.seriflabs.affinitydesigner.old" as well. Thank you! designercrash.txt com.seriflabs.affinitydesigner.old.zip
Staff Sean P Posted June 18, 2019 Staff Share Posted June 18, 2019 Hi NewYearsEve Unfortunately the attached zip file fails to open for me both on Mac and Windows. Would you be able to reupload it please? Also when you renamed the folder to .old did you find that the application would run up? The crash report seems to indicate that it may be a different crash. If that doesn't run up, does putting the Application file in the root of Applications allow it to run up. Looking at the crsah report it is stored in a 'Design:Video' folder, is this the name of the folder, as I couldn't create one with that name! NewYearsEve
Problem solved! With previous versions, I had always kept it in the design/video folder that you mentioned. I tried moving it to the root of Applications and it opened just fine and it is working great! My apologies! Don't know why I didn't think about moving it out of there! *facepalm* Love the update! Thank you so much for the help! Sean P

Now that you've said the name had a slash in it I've reproduced it (annoying the crash log showed that as a colon). I'll get it passed on to development. Thanks for letting us know.
