Zin
Perhaps I missed it in the last few beta's but I thought making the origin of rulers relative to any point in the dartboard was all set to be added. Did I miss it? Matthias and Haluke
Staff MEB Posted May 20, 2015 Staff Share Posted May 20, 2015 Hi Zin, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) No you have not missed it. It wasn't implemented in the latest Beta yet, but it's coming. A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
decimate555
Hello, Yes, cannot wait until being able to set the zero point, with my line of work for example this is useful when measuring diecut templates on a document in a relative position. I've been wondering, maybe it's already been asked before various times, is there a way to make the ruler guides snap to the tick marks on the ruler? Maybe an option to make them snap to the tick marks, by holding shift or something? Also possibly a feature to change the guide orientation on the fly? Like holding down a key to make a horizontal rule flip to vertical mode? Thank you!
Staff MEB Posted May 24, 2015 Staff Share Posted May 24, 2015 Hi decimate555, Thanks for your feedback. Yes, some of those were already requested by other users. Currently it's not possible to snap to the tick marks on the ruler. Ben is currently working on some improvements here but i'm unsure if he has addressed this.
