Sarge013 Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 Is there a way to create a keyboard shortcut to select the next adjacent layer up/down? As opposed to needing to click on it. I have tried searching, and looking at the available keyboard bindings but haven't found anything suitable, but i could very well be missing something. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks. Old Bruce Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 Only for Designer and Publisher. This is the Designer menu but the shortcuts work for Publisher too. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.5.7 | Affinity Photo 2.5.7 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.7 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Sarge013 Posted June 15, 2019 Author Posted June 15, 2019 Is there any reason why this isn't possible in photo? I mostly use photo myself. Quote

I saw that, but my point is that selecting and moving a layer forward or backward in the layer stack is not equivalent to only selecting the next or previous layer. Besides, both require a current selection. Otherwise, those items are greyed out, so none of them provide a selection function as such. yeffdaley Posted June 2, 2020 Posted June 2, 2020 +1 Toggling quickly between layers is super helpful for documents with lots of overlapping layers. Please consider it. Quote

Please consider it. I hate using the mouse for anything on the panels. I only want to use it on the drawing. Quote
Vinovinkkeli Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 Cycle through layers with a keyboard shortcuts is something I've been waiting for as long as I have been using Affinity Photo. It is weird this still isn't available, I hope they will make it possible soon. Quote
Raptosauru5 Posted June 15, 2022 Posted June 15, 2022 The Ctrl+Alt+[ and Ctrl+Alt+] actually doesn't work by default, but re-setting it in shortcuts settings fixed it Quote
