Mark Stevens Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 Currently when recording a macro, it is not possible to rename a channel that has been created. Is there any way of renaming this channel after the macro has been created? Quote
Dan C Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 Hi Mark Stevens Unfortunately there's no way to record this option in a Macro currently, so any renaming would have to be done manually, after running the macro. I'll move this thread into our Feature Requests section for our devs to see and consider! Quote
BiffBrown Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 I suspect Mark is trying to do what I'm attempting: a Macro for making Luminosity Masks (Lights, Darks & Midtone). I can't rename the Spare Channels from within the Macro. So I would like to "bump" this request. Biff Quote
stroiman Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 I came to this post exactly because I was attempting to create a marco for Luminosity masks. In addition to be able to specify a name when creating the channel, it would also be beneficial that you can specify a name when "selecting" a channel. E.g. I was following this guide, and to create the "Midtones 1" masks, it suggests to select the entire image, and the first subtract "Lights 1" from selection, then subtract "Darks 1". This will be a lot more stable if you can select the channel by name. BiffBrown 1 Quote
BiffBrown Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Exactly the same as me. I did work around this vey extending Smadell's Luminosity Selection Macro's after I had figured out the maths. I took them down to Lights 6, Darks 6 and Midtones 6. In theory these selections should be the same as the more "traditional" method. Quote
