MannaTheBerserk
This is a simple feature that I thought was already in Photo by default. It's very important and it's missing. I would like to be able to drag a marquee selection from the centre (circular, rectangular...), not just the corner. A shortcut would be nice, like in Photoshop (ALT + DRAG, ALT + SHIFT + DRAG for constraining proportions and so forth). While we are here I would also suggest the option for moving the selection temporarily while creating it (again in Photoshop would be by holding the Space Bar, moving the selection and then releasing the spacebar and carry on the selection creation). Thank you! k_au
JWR
This is another feature that Affinity Photo needs big time.
fde101
This could be tied to the anchor point selector in the Transform panel, for example: Corner selected - current behavior Top or bottom edge selected: centered horizontally Left or right edge selected: centered vertically Center point selected: centered both ways

Also I am talking about selections no transformations.

It's not how it works in other programs, that doesn't mean it can't work that way here. 6 hours ago, MannaTheBerserk said: Also I am talking about selections no transformations. Likewise. I'm suggesting that the existing control can be reused to provide additional functionality without tying up more modifier keys that Serif is running out of. Note that all four modifier keys area already mapped for these tools, so there is nowhere left to put this if that is what you are hoping for...
