Affinity Designer ( select multiple lines/objects by color)

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to select multiple lines or objects in Affinity Designer by color or stroke thickness? Like in Adobe Illustrator you can select all lines by a color fill or stroke thickness.  This is very important for me to have this function to be able to select colors on my architectural line drawings and quickly change the thicknesses of a color group ive previously made a specific color.

Thank you!

Hi Haymaker25,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
This was already requested quite a few times. There's plans to implement it in a future version, but no eta. It may still take a some time since the dev teams are currently focused in stabilising the latest Photo and Designer updates (macOS, Windows and iOS) and preparing the launch of the upcoming Affinity Publisher (macOS and Windows).

Seconded! it's one of those things where I struggle and I makes me miss AI sometimes.

It is advisable to organize objects into groups, which can be manipulated in bulk (delete, change color, change line width, etc.).

@Pšenda

You can't always choose how your clients work. Grouping them would mean selecting them anyway (from an .ai file given to me to work on)
If anything, I am the one who groups, renames, colours and overall organises other's people files.
