Align bug

Recommended Posts

Not sure if this is a bug per se, but the behavior definitely changed in the last release of AD as far as alignment goes.

Say I want to align two objects on their left side.

Expected behavior: AD ought to move the RIGHTMOST object so it aligns with the leftmost object.

Current behavior: AD moves the LEFTMOST object to the rightmost object.

Of course this same behavior should happen for top, bottom and right alignment as well.

Thanks for all you do! AD 1.7 is a BEAST!

I think you may have chosen first or last selected instead of Selection Bounds.

Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Hi Ronnyb,

I've just tried this myself and it seems to be working as I would expect (and as you would expect!). Would you be able to do a screen recording demonstrating the behaviour you are seeing please? Have you tried this on a new document with two shapes, if that is correct then it could be document specific in which case we'd need to also see the document.

I can't get it to replicate the odd behavior. I will keep an eye out for it. It could very well be user idiocy.... :/
