Mareleram Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 In the Tutorial "Affinity Designer "Refine selections" it says that when I give 2 clicks in a built-in image I go to the image editing mode, but that doesn't work with me, when I give 2 clicks nothing happens. Any idea what it might be? MacBook Pro - Mac OS 10.14.5 - Affinity Designer 1.7 Tks. Quote
Staff MEB Posted June 14, 2019 Staff Posted June 14, 2019 Hi Mareleram, Welcome Affinity Forums The "image" being double-clicked in the video tutorial is actually an .afdesign document (you can see this at 00:28s when the he picks the file in the Finder dialog - look at the extension). These files are placed as embedded documents (look at the label after the layer's name in the Layers panel). When you double-click them on canvas, Affinity opens a new document tab labelled <Embedded> with that document ready to be edited independently from the original where it was placed. All changes you perform here are then translated to the regional document. You are probably trying to do the same with a regular image or pixel layer - not an embedded document - that's why it doesn't work. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Mareleram Posted June 14, 2019 Author Posted June 14, 2019 Hi MEB, thank you very much for your answer. Very enlightening. I already imagined something like this. I'm an old designer unhappy with Adobe and I'm very excited about the possibilities of Affinity. Congratulations to everyone involved in the project. I hope in the future to be able to contribute to this community. Quote
