How does "Edit image in Photo" work?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I am running the two newest betas of Designer and Photo on OSX 10.10 and have tried to use the feature "Edit image in Photo" for a couple of versions now, without ever getting it to work. Thought, someone here might be able to help me.

As I understand the feature, it is supposed to work this way:

1) I open my document (a postcard with text, vectors and images) in Designer

2) I select the image (bitmap image, originally JPG or TIF) I'd like to edit and click on "Edit image in Photo"

What I expect to happen is for the selected image to open in Photo so I can edit it, then click on save, and return to my document that now contains the changed image.

For some reason, if I click on the button absolutely nothing happens.

I have been very careful, to select my image only and none of the surrounding objects, the status bar shows me the image name, the size im pixels and the resolution, so, I guess I have selected it properly.

What am I doing wrong?

Is the feature active yet or deactivated during beta?
