iMatt
As the title suggests, I have various images which when imported into Affinity Designer retain thier white background. I was told of a way to do this within these forums but I forgot the toll used!!! Any chance of a reminder?
v_kyr
In APh you can try "Filter > Colors > Remove white Background". - Or for setup documents the "Transparent background" check/setting. iMatt 1 Quote ☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan ☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.
PaulEC
The only way I can think to do it in Designer, is to go to the Pixel Persona, use the Flood Select Tool to select the white background, invert the selection (to keep everything else), create a new layer (Control+J) then delete the original layer. Yay! This worked! It is actually called 'Erase white paper' in Aff Photo. Thanx!

Ok in the german localization it's called "Weißen Hintergrund entfernen", which also Google translates the way I did. iMatt
Just now, v_kyr said: Ok in the german localization it's called "Weißen Hintergrund entfernen", which also Google translates the way I did. Okay, no problem. Still good enough to know what you meant, which is all that matters! v_kyr
