Mireille G
Here are two words (same word with different look) I would like to know your opinion as to which you like best. Secondly this letters are made up of a bunch of shapes with different colors placed side by side. Sometimes I can make the triangles meet perfectly and sometimes I cannot quite get 3 different triangle points form a perfect union. Is there a trick or shortcut to get this accomplished? Thank you for looking and suggesting, critiquing even criticizing. I am a big girl I can take it. The idea is to improve. smallreflection
A_B_C
Hi MireilleG, I must confess, I like the second one better … it’s very beautiful … and here’s a possible solution: When you are using the node tool (I suppose you have converted the triangles to curves), Shift click each one of the triangles (to see the points), then make sure you have Snap to selected curves activated, and snap the desired points to each other … Another trick: Shift click adjacent shapes with the node tool, then draw a marquee around the center point(s) you want to move and transform three (or four) shapes at once … (second video) … Hope that helps, Alex :) Snap.mov Move.mov Mireille G
Mireille G
Thank you for the shift click tip. This is fantastic and will improve what I did. Thanks for the files too. A_B_C
A_B_C
You’re welcome … by the way, what do these inscriptions mean? … unfortunately I don’t speak Hebrew (at least I guess it’s Hebrew) … ;)
affinity4Christ15
That's Hebrew! I recognize the fourth character; its a Shim...very theologically important! Very cool work too. I like the idea and the many colors. Incorporating many colors is a hard one to pull off. I believe you're doing it nicely. Keep it up! Mireille G
It is Hebrew, the 4 letters are shin lamed vav mim. The word is Peace, but means much more than peace. It is hello, good bye, but mostly it is completeness, contentement, wholeness, health. It is all encompassing. @affinity4christ15, I love the uniform, thank you! LilleG
I like the second one better. The colors seem more harmonious without the starbursts in the first one. Beautiful colors, beautiful sentiment. Thanks for the explanation.
Mireille G
LilleG thank you for the input. I tend to agree with you about the colors working out better without the starbursts.
