Affinity Designer Pixel Persona Question

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I  tried searching the forums and could not really find anything to answer my question so posting here.

To keep thing short, I am comparing Krita, Clip Studio Paint, and Affinity Designer/Photo and am leaning towards Designer.

Reason being, I like the idea of working with either raster or vectors or a hybrid of both.

I will be using this software for game concept art (characters, background, etc).

I personally like the idea of outlining inking a character with vectors but still being able to use raster for colors, shading, texture, depth and etc. or being able to do a full raster detailed concept piece of lets say a landscape but having the option to mix in vectors if I wish.

So that brings me to my question.... how extensive is the Pixel Persona in AD for digital painting? Is it anything close to AP or Photoshop? The reason I am also looking at Krita and CSP is because they are primarily raster programs with some vector options.

Thanks!
