Keyboard Modifiers

Recommended Posts

This applies to the current iPad versions for both Photo and Designer:

  1. Bring up the built-in Help pages.
  2. Scroll down the index of topics on the left hand side.
  3. Open the Workspace section.
  4. Select "Keyboard shortcuts"…

Thanks for this, but I still can’t find any reference to ‘Shortcut Modifiers’ as mentioned in the 1.7 patch notes.

Oh yes, I see what you mean:

CHANGES SINCE LAST RELEASE
• Shortcut modifiers added when keyboard is attached

I suspect this could be a slight mistake - ie it could have been better worded, to say something like "new keyboard shortcuts added when keyboard is attached".  The Tech Specs page for both Photo and Designer both seem to indicate that customisable keyboard shortcuts are a desktop-only feature.  I'll leave further comment to others that know better.

Just poor wording. Additional keyboard shortcuts have been added to the iPad versions. For example, we now have Cmd J for (Power) Duplicating.

The modifier keys are 'on screen' keys, usually accessed in context menu by tapping little white triangle to get to key menu. These have to be turned on in the Affinity settings screen.
