Layer Mask not displaying

Recommended Posts

The layers on the top image are still visible, so it’s possible they are covering the image underneath. Hard to say without knowing what is in them.

Turn them off (unstick). If that doesn’t,t work you could try uploading the .afphoto file and letting someone have a look for you.

Hi, it looks like you have just covered the visible layer. In AP the top layer 'effects' alll lower layers.

I've added an image with a displace filter in attached update of your file. :) You can play around and see what happens with different selections.Fix Troubleshooting_File.afphoto

If you have a selection of the T shirt you can simply add a fill layer to fill with the selected colour. Then drag the fill layer over the t shirt layer until you see blue line, then release it. Colour is now inside the t shirt. Now go to fill layer options and play with blend and opacity to get a look that you like. You can change the colour at any time by selecting fill layer and dragging colour wheel.

Would you mind helping me troubleshoot this file as well? The image layer is supposed to be insertable into the shirt, and take on the texture/wrinkles. Unfortunately, I only seem to be able to add the layer on top of the shirt, and it doesn’t look quite right.

I’m not quite sure what I’m doing wrong here! Thank you so much for the assistance.

@Aaron Plaat Make a selection of the T shirt using Smart Selection brush tool. Duplicate the selection to a new layer. Move this new layer and drop it below the image of the head. Select the new T shirt layer and add a Gaussian blur to blend the shades and remove details. Now select the image (head) layer and add a (Live Filter) Displacement Filter. In the Displacement Filter context menu tap ' Beneath'. It should flicker (that’s the only indication is has worked). Now adjust Strength setting and you will see the shape 'displace' around the shadow tones of the t shirt. (It adjusts in both positive and negative directions. When satisfied just unstick the blurred t shirt to show the sharp one underneath.
