RichardM
Hello Just installed Designer 1.7 (new release version) on machine with licensed previous version. Does not open. I have beta version (1.7.0.367) installed in another folder on same directory, but hitherto no problems whatsoever. That opened fine. Any ideas? Aammppaa
Did the installer complete successfully? Have you tried restarting the computer? Which OS are you using? Or did it only appear to repair, but still fails to run? RichardM
I worded that poorly. Mea Culpa. I would not be here if the repair had worked. The repair said all was OK, just as the Installer had. It isn't. Aammppaa

Aammppaa
Hmm... Not sure what to suggest. Does Designer appear in the Task Manager? Even briefly? Try holding Ctrl as you launch Designer to bring up the Reset dialog, if it appears reset everything as you may have a corrupt settings file. Try killing as many other programs as you can before launching Designer? Try looking through this list for a clash with 3rd party software... RichardM
Well, if you followed the logic of my wry comment,. you will see it for what it is . ... Actually fixed the problem. The install of the new version had NOT deleted the old install so there were obviously conflicts. So, uninstalled for the nth time, saved Resource folder and deleted all else. Reinstalled and all OK. So if anybody has similar problem, that will be worth trying .. Aammppaa
