Panning Doesn't Work on 1.7.0

Sometimes when i tried to pan (either by using view tool [H] , space bar, or middle mouse) it doesnt move or work. I had to restart the app to be able to make it work again.

Same issue here. For me, this often happens after drawing on a Wacom drawing tablet. Switching to other apps and then switch back with Alt-Tab solves the problem sometimes.

Are you using a Wacom tablet?

yes exactly! i use wacom tablet too, but switching to other apps didnt do it for me. i had to either quit the document or the apps

Hi imamdwt,

We've found an issue when using a Wacom tablet that would cause it to only draw straight lines, this also caused the Pan Tool to stop working. This has now been reported to development.

The issue was caused by clicking on the Designer UI (not the document area) with a Wacom Pen whilst your focus is in a different app. If you click on the document space when the focus is elsewhere it doesn't go wrong.

We have made fixes/improvements to this area (Wacom Tablet starts drawing straight line after changing focus) of the program in the latest Windows customer beta of Affinity Photo and/or Affinity Designer. If you would like to try these changes the beta software is available in the forum posts listed below. However, you will need to enable Windows INK inside the Wacom Mapping tab. 

The 1.8.0.526 beta builds are in links at the top of these beta forum posts.

• Affinity Photo 1.8.0.526 for Windows
• Affinity Designer 1.8.0.526 for Windows

Once these programs have been through a full beta process the change will be released in a future free 1.8.0 update/patch to all customers.
