Sorin Murar Posted June 8, 2019 Share Posted June 8, 2019 Please tell me how I could (urgently !!!) downgrade to affinity photo 1.6 Affinity photo 1.7 is unusable for me!!! Any .psd or .tiff files that I open in Affinity Photo can not be exported as jpg. I have hundreds of files made in Photoshop that are totally unusable in Affinity Photo. On export I get error message and hang up. I can not close Affinity Photo except with force quit. I use OSX High Sierra and I purchased Aff photo from the App Store. For me, the Shadows/Highlights feature, which is very bad in 1.7, is the main reason. I used it regularly in 1.6 and was very happy with that version. Now it takes much more work to achieve the same effect with other tools. Besides, I also found the old crop tool and the old clarity tool much better. To me, 1.7 is everything but an improvement. If you're having issues with exporting or performance I recommend trying to reset the app back to default settings using the below instructions and if you're still unable to export please post in the bugs section of our forums so our team can investigate this and fix it for you! You can reset your app back to its default settings by holding down the CTRL key while launching the app. When the Clear User Data window appears, click Select All and then Clear. The app will now open.
