I'm new to Affinity.  Apologize if this has already been covered but I couldn't find with a search.

My .tiff files do not retrain the curves saved on the file when opening in Affinity.  When opening the file in Photoshop, works like a champ--i.e. there's the appropriate curve.  When opening in Affinity, there's the curve layer but no curve--seems like all the other layer elements like masks, vibrance, yadayaday are perfect.  When opening with Affinity the exact same image saved as a .psd, opens perfectly--i.e. there's the appropriate curve.

Any thoughts?

Tom

Hi @teamhill :)

I'm sorry to hear this, could you please provide a copy of your .tiff file to the following link so I can test this? AFAIK we should be able to retain the curves adjustment on import, as we use the PSD data that's 'piggybacked' onto the .tiff data when exporting from PS.

@duke_leto

Is this happening to any TIFF, or only specific files? I've tested this here and I can't replicate your issue currently. Could you please upload one of these .tiff files here?

Please Note: I am now out of the office until Tuesday 2nd April on annual leave.

If you require urgent assistance, please create a new thread and a member of our team will be sure to assist asap.

Many thanks :)

Hi @Dan C

Sorry for the delay I've been away.

Please find attached a TIF. What prompted me to come and check the status of this thread is that I just added a curves adjustment to it and it immediately crashed Affinity. Note that the file had been re-saved into an affinity photo file before I added the curves adjustment.

Cheers

No problem at all, thanks for your file :)

I've tried to replicate this using both the .tiff file and a saved .afphoto file, on both Mac and Windows and I'm not seeing the same behaviour here.

Are you using Mac or Windows please? Could you please provide a crash log, if one is available?
