Manuel Galan Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 The Affinity site indicates that updates are automatic, but I have not received the update. I have Affinity Photo/Designer in my iMAC & iPad. How do I get download 1.7? Quote
Colin Lucas Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Same here. The 1.7 updates haven't been automatically installed. Both were purchased via Apple's app store, which shows the installed versions as 1.7 , when they are still at 1.6.7. We are running Mac OS 10.11.6 El Capitan Quote
Colin Lucas Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Just went back into the app store and chose the 'top paid' category, where both Affinity Photo and Designer are labelled as 'Update'. Clicking the 'Update' tab should show both apps in the updates panel, but I still needed to select the 'Update All' tab before the downloads began. Far from automatic, but at least it worked. Hope this helps Quote

For apps you bought through the Mac App Store, you can set up System Preferences > App Store to automatically download updates in the background, & also optionally to install them automatically afterwards. If you have more than one Mac, you can even set it up to automatically download apps you bought on another Mac. This functionality is provided by the Mac OS & applies to all apps bought through the Mac App Store, not just the Affinity ones.
