LilleG
I rarely open iDraw since buying Affinity Designer but there is one option in iDraw that I do miss. It was fun to use and let me create some interesting effects. I could take the Eraser tool, adjust it to the size desired, then swipe it across a shape to create a gap between the two segments. Those segments could then be selected using the Move tool and operated on as a unit, or I could use the Node tool to select only one segment to work on. Is there a way to do something similar in Designer using the Eraser?
Staff MEB Posted May 14, 2015 Staff Share Posted May 14, 2015 Hi LilleG The Eraser in Affinity Designer perform creating a mask attached to the layer/object to hide the erased parts. It doesn't affect object's geometry like you are describing. Currently there isn't a tool to "erase" vector data (i.e. its geometry). LilleG
I'm not sure there would be much of a demand for something like that but one can wish. Not a must-have but sure would be nice.
