kryten68
Hi, I'm a freelance web designer and long time user of iDraw thinking of switching to Affinity due to bugs in the latest version of iDraw 2.5.1 Anyway... before I buy, I wanted to ask whether Affinity has a background removal tool? I often have to isolate objects and at the moment I'm using Pixelmator for that but it would be really nice to be able to "settle" on a single tool, learn it well and stick to that. Thanks, Ron
Busenitz
Single tool - Are you wanting vector or raster? Vector = Affinity Designer / iDraw, Raster = Affinity Photo / Pixelmator.
Staff Leigh Posted May 15, 2015 Staff Share Posted May 15, 2015 Welcome to the forums kryten68! I would use the Pen tool in Affinity Photo to draw a selection path around the object. You could also use the Selection brush and the Refine Selection Tool to grab objects with fine detail. You can see our Refine Selection Tool in action here:
