Zoom Resizes Windows

Recommended Posts

Hi,

New to Affinity from Photoshop. Tried searching this but not sure if I'm just not searching for right words. One of the first things thats driving me nuts, is resizing the windows/canvas/document space (not sure what Affinity calls it). I tend to like undocking each window so I can work with multiple windows and align them next to each other.

1. First problem: Just clicking and dragging to resize is incredibly slow. Feels like there is an uber ease in and out with the movement. Is there a setting causing this?

2. Second problem (related to first problem): PS has a preference option in Tools "Zoom Resizes Windows", so hitting Cntrl +/- will make the window bigger or smaller, but it resizes the window accordingly. is Affinity capable of this? I search prefs but didn't anything.

Thank you.

Sorry for the late reply -

I'm using Windows version. I'm not sure what you mean by separated mode.

I attached a screen recording of the lagging problem. *I've never done a screen recording before so hopefully this works

As you can see, the window resizing has difficulty keeping up with the mouse, and mostly goes off on its own. The last few seconds I'm not even holding the mouse down anymore, but its still moving.

I should note I have this issue on both Photo AND Designer.
