Scrabo
Photo 1.7 installed on Windows 7 - Is it just me or when you are processing an RAW image and you press "develop" - it takes longer that the 1.6x version of photo ? Thought RAW processing was meant to be faster with 1.7 ? DannyBCreative
Jackhandy
Mine's not just slow, it's totally unusable. Raws load quickly, but take forever to develop. Live filters are fubared. Export to jpg takes forever. Luckily I still have v:1.6.5 in my downloads folder, so have re-installed it on my laptop so I can, at least, still work. Scrabo
@Jackhandy - you described my issue perfectly - it either takes over 1 min or it just never stops - left it running overnight and it was still developing the next morning. Sony RAW image file BTW. Going back to 1.6 for now Edited June 7, 2019 by Scrabo DannyBCreative
Scrabo
V1.6 developed Sony RAW file in 11 seconds, V1.7 took 46 seconds - both minor curve adjustments and a small bit of black point adjustment DSC01206.ARW DannyBCreative

Ron P.
Wow, almost 3 mins. I think I saw the snow melting. I just ran some tests using images from my Canon t4i and 70D, both were consistent at just over 7 secs. Scrabo
Also anything saved as a Affinity Photo file under 1.7 is not backward compatible with 1.6.x - SAD !!

Concurrently, I have emailed them to enquire about my account as message stated 'no Affinity Account with email provided'. Perhaps its because I purchased through Apple Store. Thank you in advance! Almost certainly - Apple and Microsoft don't release customer information to Serif. Quote AP, AD & APub user, running Win10
keith.r
Same problem as others since 1.7 update 30 secs to Develop. Photo Persona is also much slower refine edge after selection 12 secs I've now reverted back to 1.6 same image Develop 3 secs, refine edge 3 secs. 1.7 in its present form is unusable I hope these problems get fixed. RichZep
Now on version 1.8 and still slow to develop. Round about 50-55 second mark. I did a Zoom presentation for Affinity Photo to my camera club and the develop time was an embarrassment. Difficult when recommending product as a contender to Lightroom and Photoshop.
