Outdoorslover Posted June 6, 2019 Posted June 6, 2019 Clone & Healing Brush Tools I'm on a Mac (MacOS 10.14.5) using Affinty Photo 1.7.0, a Bluetooth Apple Keyboard, and a Wacom Intuos Pro (driver version 6.3.34-2), and I'm attempting to do some retouching, but not getting the expected results with the Clone & Healing Brushes. I've created a new pixel layer and selected it, I then select the Clone tool, change to Current Layer & Below, then hold down the Option key and attempt to select a source. I'm then presented with a dialog box telling me that I must Option + Click to select a source. What gives? I'm doing exactly this, but it's not being seen by the application. The same thing happens with the Healing Brush. Quote
Staff MEB Posted June 6, 2019 Staff Posted June 6, 2019 Hi Outdoorslover, Welcome to Affinity Forums Are you able to perform the same operation with the mouse or it also fails? Outdoorslover 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Outdoorslover Posted June 6, 2019 Author Posted June 6, 2019 Ha! Using the Apple Trackpad (I have no idea where my mouse is) works as expected. Using the Wacom, gets me nothing. I can paint with it once I've selected (using the Apple Trackpad), but I can't click & select. Also, I'm new to Affinity, and when I Clone, my cloned results are being bounded by a perfect square. I've never seen anything like that before. Is there a way to turn that off? Thanks! Quote
Outdoorslover Posted June 6, 2019 Author Posted June 6, 2019 I called Wacom and spoke to their Tech Support folks. They had me map one of the Function keys on the Wacom to the Option key, and in doing so, I'm now able to Option + Click to set my source point. However, using the Option key on my keyboard does not work to allow me to set my source point. Quote
